| Man With Gaylord Ties May Have Molested More Than 70 Children Statewide.
Police believe a man named Kevin Odette may have molested more than 70 children across the state including some in Northern Michigan. Police say they found videos, D.V.D's, and digital camera pictures of homemade child pornography at Odette's mid-michigan home. They call it some of the most graphic images they've ever seen. Odette is charged with molesting 5 children so far, but investigators think there are many more victims. Investigators discovered the massive child porn library at Odette's home in Clio in Genessee county. Odette lived in Gaylord till he was 17. The sheriff says he molested 2 children he babysat in Gaylord when he was only 10 years old. If anyone has any reason to believe Odette was connected to any inappropriate activity in Gaylord, you're asked to call the Genessee county sheriff's department.
Analisa Nazareno: Newborn's sweet face: priceless
You probably have friends like these. Most people do. These friends spend way too much money. These are the friends who buy iPhones, the latest laptops, the gizmo of the moment. These are the friends who smile with pursed lips, say nothing and avert their eyes as I photograph my child with the $300, Jane Doe, 6-megapixel digital camera that I bought a couple years ago. These are the same friends that wait until I have put that dreadful camera away to photograph the same child with their $1,200, state-of-the-art, 10-megapixel digital-SLR they bought last month. These friends, by the way, recently clawed their way out of debt and then two years later, fell right back into it, deep. Now that they are having a baby, my friends have the perfect excuse to spend lots of money they just don't have.
Parents fear for children
A CONVICTED sex offender is living metres from a primary school in suburban Melbourne with the consent of the State Government. Robin James Sadedin, 39, was last month found guilty of possessing more than 5000 pornographic images of children. Almost all were of naked pre-pubescent schoolgirls. Parents of children at Sherbourne Primary are furious authorities and the school's hierarchy failed to tell them Sadedin lived so close. Sadedin, a former child protection worker for the Department of Human Services, left the government post in disgrace when the child porn was found on his home computer and digital camera. It contained explicit images of school-aged girls exposing their genitalia. Briar Hill mother Samantha Dukes said she was "disgusted and appalled" Sadedin was allowed so close to the school.
Keeseville technology receives national media attention
PLATTSBURGH -- A Keeseville-based company has a new product that will be used by two downstate law-enforcement agencies and has attracted interest from national media. Pistol-Cam, a digital video-recording camera with sound-recording capability, is the creation of Legend Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Adirondack Optics. It is the brainchild of company founder and CEO Terry Gordon, who holds six patents on it and similar devices, including his original invention, the SmartScope rifle sight/digital camera combination. Adirondack Optics spokesman Greg Caito said the City of Newburgh Police Department and Orange County Sheriff''s Department have agreed to use the devices for training and pilot-program purposes. The two departments are slated to receive $75,000 in state funding through the efforts of New York State Sen.
Queens on Film: Booty Call Brings the Flashbulbs to the Castro
In a world gone mad with undiscerning digital camera use, it's comforting to know that some drag queens still hold the art of portraiture to high standards. One gender illusionist in particular has endeavored to transport her photo studio into The Bar on Castro every other Wednesday. Juanita More! and a few of her drag children launched a club night called "Booty Call" earlier this month, and along with the nightlife requisites — DJs, drink specials, social intrigue, good lighting — the event includes a space for private photo shoots in the back of the bar. An extension of the salacious shutterbug series initiated by Ms. More! some time ago, "Booty Call" provides hoi polloi with the opportunity to professionally capture a night of getting plastered. To think that once that happened only at weddings.
