| Diamond ring, camcorder stolen in Staunton burglary
STAUNTON � A 26-year-old woman in the 200 block of William Cousins Road reported Tuesday that a .45 carat diamond ring and a Sony camcorder were stolen from her home, the Augusta County Sheriff�s Office said. The woman told authorities she arrived at her home shortly after midnight and found a door kicked in. The ring and camcorder were valued at an estimated $2,600. .

HATTIESBURG
- Commercial burglary in the 2600 block of Hardy Street; stolen was $442 in cash. A suspect gained entrance through a drive-thru window, police said.
- Burglary of a storage shed in the 1300 block of West Seventh Street; stolen was a Sony PlayStation, valued at $220, one Canon camcorder, valued at $800, and 40 porcelain dolls, valued at $4,000. The door to the storage shed was not damaged and locks on the door remained intact, police said.
- Grand larceny in the 800 block of Main Street; stolen was scaffolding, valued at $12,000.
- Rodney A. Frase, 36, 200 block Freeman Road, Hattiesburg; jailed Tuesday on DUI charge.
- Josh L. Conklin, 27, 20 block Hagford, Purvis; jailed Tuesday on charges of DUI and no drivers license.
- Arron Conklin, 24, 6000 block Mississippi 145, Meridian; jailed Tuesday on possession of paraphernalia charge.
